Bar 89

Is it a bar, is it a restaurant, or is it an opportunity to check out a high tech toilet stall?

Terrible Service2 / 10

The manager on Saturday (Oct. 5, 2002) is a disaster. She told me to leave the bar twice, after I touched my own face. The manager said that she thought I was falling a sleep, but I wasn't. I was just touching my face. This is ridiculous. How can she say such a thing to a guest?! The food was not bad...
Unexpected Menu8 / 10
1/7/03
The first time there we had to drag an anti-trendy friend kicking and screaming into the bar, but although the decor is trendy and modern, the menu is quite a surprise. Items like burgers, wings and french fries are front and center on the menu. The service was good for a crowded bar (many were there just to drink) and the check was less that you would expect the first time you walk in.
Peaceful, but bustling atmosphere, diverse crowd6 / 10

The modern decor was what first attracted me to go inside, but the bathrooms are probably the best part of the bar/restaurant and makes you want to go back again. The food is pretty good, although the menu lacks variety. However, the atmosphere is an important aspect. It is calm and the crowd is diverse, which doesn't make anyone feel out of place.
