Ideya
Self described Pan Latin menu draws from all points of Central and South America from Argentina to Mexico plus the curries and jerks and more of the Caribbean. Mexican-born Chef Reyes works with Caribbean culture and literature specialist, owner Lauryn Small, in a gastronomic exploration of the Southern West Hemisphere. They value tradition and fresh ingredients with a zing of inventiveness.
This is all presented in a space that was a finalist in the 1999 James Beard Foundation awards for Outstanding Restaurant Design.
A variety of entertainments have been known to happen but a constant has been the Salsa Night on Mondays, starting at 9pm. Also, an array of bright tropical cocktails attracts its own following.
